Our medical director, Dr. Scott D.M. Moon, grew up in Wahiawa, HI and attended Trinity Lutheran School from K-8th grade. He graduated from Leilehua High School and received his undergraduate education at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. He returned home for medical school and received his M.D. from the University of Hawaii. He went on to complete a general internship in Evanston, IL prior to entering his specialty training. He received his radiation oncology training at the University of Maryland in Baltimore where he completed a three year residency and one year of fellowship training. He is board certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology. After completing his specialty training, Dr. Moon relocated to Mississippi to help establish the Mississippi Cancer Institute and was medical director of the Radiation Oncology department for six years. He returned home to Hawaii in 2003 to join his current associates as the 8th member of Pacific Radiation Oncology.

Dr. Moon is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American College of Radiation Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Medical Association, the Hawaii Medical Association, and is Vice President of the Hawaii Society of Clinical Oncology.
