This is our $1 million treatment machine which produces very high energy radiation which can be directed from any angle to a specific treatment site. This machine produces x-rays electrically - there are no radioactive materials and patients are not made radioactive by the treatment. Patients receive radiation treatments during a brief daily visit over a span of up to 8 weeks.
SIMULATOR
This Varian Ximatron Simulator uses fluoroscopy to determine the exact site for radiation treatment. The geometry of this machine simulates that of the linear accelerator. The Physician, Dosimetrist, Physicist and Therapist all work together to determine each patient's treatment plan.
